Wakatake-no-Mori Wakayama Farm: An Extraordinary Adventure in an Everlasting Bamboo Forest

Wakayama Farm is located in Utsunomiya City, in the north of Tokyo, with about 24 hectares of fields set against the backdrop of the Nikko mountain range. For over a century, spanning three generations, the farm has been dedicated to the mindset that "agriculture begins with cultivating the soil," practicing natural and sustainable farming methods with a focus on bamboo shoots and chestnuts.

Having faced bamboo and soil for generations, a time came when bamboo fell out of common use, and the farm became a unique space that could not be found elsewhere.

As a result, it has been utilized as a location for many film shoots, gaining attention and prompting the desire to open it up with the intention of allowing people to feel close to bamboo.

Step into the bamboo forest, enveloped by the sunlight filtering through the bamboo and the rustling of leaves, and get away from your daily life as you enjoy the tranquility.
